Cyprus exam: register quickly

The first exam in 2025 on knowledge of the basic elements of the modern political and social reality of Cyprus will be held on February 8. Registration must be completed between December 16, 2024 and January 7, 2025.

In accordance with the amendments to the Aliens and Immigration Law, this exam must be taken by third country nationals wishing to obtain a long-term residence permit or citizenship of Cyprus. The exam is held twice a year.

During the registration process, you must indicate the identification document number, the applicant's first and last name, postal and email address, and mobile phone number. Cost – 20 euros.

Further information, including the location and time of the exam, will be sent to the email address provided during registration.

Participants who successfully pass the exam will receive a certificate required when applying for a long-term residence permit in Cyprus (required exam score of at least 50%) and Cypriot citizenship by naturalization (required score of at least 60%).

The exam is conducted in Greek. Additional information is available on the website or by calling 22582900 / 22582904 / 22582929.

The second exam will take place on July 5, 2025.
